Job summary

Ohio Valley Electrical Services, Inc. in Cincinnati seeks a dependable Heavy Equipment Operator for commercial and industrial sites. You will operate excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and more to support grading and site development while complying with safety standards.

Responsibilities include daily inspections, reading site plans, coordinating with foremen, and performing routine maintenance. Occasional overtime and travel to job sites may be required; teamwork and precise execution are

Qualifications

• HD diploma or GED preferred; CDL beneficial.
• 2+ years operating heavy equipment preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and construction plans is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy equipment (excavators, bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, skid steers, graders, rollers).
• Perform excavation, grading, trenching, loading, backfilling per specs.
• Conduct daily pre/post-operation inspections of equipment.
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.
• Perform routine maintenance such as checking fluids and greasing.
• Read site plans and grade stakes; follow project specs.
• Maintain awareness of underground utilities and hazards.
• Follow OSHA and safety policies; work with supervisors and crew.
• Assist with manual labor when equipment is idle; keep area clean.
• Complete inspection reports and equipment logs.
