Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, or trucks.
• Ability to read grade stakes, site layouts, and directions from Supervisors, Foremen, and Surveyors.
• Knowledge of safety procedures, PPE, and site hazards.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
• Ability to perform inspections and basic mechanical troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and company safety standards.
• Perform pre-shift inspections and report defects or hazards.
• Execute excavation, grading, loading, hauling, trenching, and material handling tasks.
• Follow grade stakes, layouts, and instructions from Surveyors and Foremen.
• Maintain production targets and meet tolerances; ensure work meets specs.
• Coordinate with Foremen and Surveyors to resolve grade conflicts or discrepancies.
