Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to safely and efficiently operate loaders, excavators, graders, dozers, and haul trucks. You will transport raw materials, load finished products for distribution, and help maintain roadways and loading areas to ensure safe, reliable operations.

The role requires completing pre-shift inspection reports, basic math, and strong safety adherence. High school diploma or GED preferred; 1+ year experience in heavy equipment is preferred.

Qualifications

• Operates various mobile equipment and performs daily pre-shift inspections.
• Reads and interprets gauges and performs basic math calculations.
• Follows MSHA/OSHA safety rules and company policies.
• Ability to work irregular shifts, including days/nights and weekends as required.
• Develops and maintains effective relationships with teammates and customers.

Responsibilities

• Operates heavy equipment including graders, haul units, loaders, excavators, and dozers.
• Performs preventative maintenance and reports repairs.
• Assists with rail unloading, maintenance, quality control, and scale house duties.
• Maintains quality of all products and supports plant operations as needed.
• Keeps accurate records and follows instructions with minimal supervision.
