Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an Operator – Heavy Equipment to safely operate at a recycling center, landfill or transfer station, performing loading, spreading, covering and compacting waste or soil with attention to safety and efficiency.

The role requires at least two years of heavy equipment experience and OSHA site exposure; you will conduct inspections, maintain equipment, and report issues, while upholding company safety standards and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections per policy.
• Safely operate heavy equipment such as forklift, excavator, bulldozer, loader.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and equipment condition.
• Perform minor servicing and report repairs to maintenance.
• Complete reports and communicate repairs to supervisor.
• Follow all safety policies and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
