Job summary

The Walsh Group, LTD. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator in Arcadia, FL to operate a variety of heavy equipment on highway, heavy civil, or building projects. You will help with site tasks, perform daily safety checks, and support maintenance activities as needed.

3–5 years of operating experience is preferred; ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions is required. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and a proactive approach to learn and contribute on the job site.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of equipment operating experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in adverse weather conditions.
• Must follow all safety policies and procedures and communicate effectively with teammates.
• Demonstrates a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.
• Good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of equipment to complete tasks such as clearing land, backfilling, and moving or transporting materials like dirt, rocks and other aggregates.
• Maintains knowledge of operating procedures for loading and unloading materials.
• Oils, greases, services and makes routine maintenance adjustments; performs daily safety and maintenance checks; completes required paperwork.
• May be exposed to vibrations and loud noise during operation; performs other related duties as required.
