Job summary

The Walsh Group, through Archer Western Construction, is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for the Elbow Rd Project in Virginia Beach, Virginia. You will operate a range of heavy machinery on site to assist in highway and heavy civil construction, while following safety guidelines and company policies.

Responsibilities include equipment operation, loading/unloading materials, daily safety checks, and collaboration with crew members to ensure timely project completion.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of operating experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in variable weather conditions.
• Must comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of equipment to complete tasks such as clearing land, backfilling, and transporting materials.
• Follow loading/unloading procedures and maintain equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and report issues; complete required paperwork.
• Be mindful of vibration and noise during operation and perform other duties as needed.
