Job summary

Standard Construction Company, Inc., a CRH Company, is seeking an Equipment Operator to support road and site construction projects in the Mississippi/Tennessee area. The role requires safe operation of heavy equipment, adherence to safety rules, and collaboration with foremen and crew to meet daily goals.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, be able to pass drug and background checks, and be willing to travel and work nights or weekends when required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in construction or equipment operation preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Willing to travel and work nights/weekends as needed.
• Adhere to OSHA/MSHA safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment for road, site or highway construction and paving.
• Follow Foreman directions and daily task assignments.
• Perform pre- and post-inspections and basic maintenance.
• Report problems to supervisor and assist training of less-experienced staff.
• Work in a team environment and maintain safe, productive worksite.
