Job summary

Cemex US is seeking an Equipment Operator in Marana, AZ to operate heavy mobile equipment such as front end loaders, backhoe loaders, skid steers, and haul trucks. The role requires vigilance in daily inspections and strict adherence to safety guidelines on site.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of heavy equipment experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work flexible shifts including overtime and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years operating heavy equipment.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum 5 years in position or related field.
• Ability to work scheduled shift hours, overtime and weekends.
• English reading/writing/speaking required.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily or pre-shift inspections and operate vehicles safely.
• Operate all mobile and heavy-duty equipment on site (dozers, loaders, haul truck, etc.).
• Clean-up work to keep tools, equipment, and areas safe and orderly.
• Comply with company safety rules and regulations.
• Assist with maintenance/repair and yard loading when needed.
• Understand, interpret, and execute written and verbal instructions.
• Schedule or call for repairs and parts as needed.
• Recognize potentially hazardous situations and act accordingly.
• Wear proper safety equipment and meet safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
