Job summary

Vulcan Materials Company is seeking a heavy equipment operator for our facility in California. The role involves operating pit loaders, shipping loaders, excavators and dozers to move materials and support the extraction process.

You will perform routine maintenance, inspections, and assist mechanics with minor repairs, while maintaining safety and efficiency in outdoor conditions. The successful candidate will have high school education or equivalent and prior heavy equipment experience.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate multiple types of heavy equipment.
• Experience with heavy equipment operation preferred.
• Must be able to read and follow safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate off-highway equipment and loaders to move materials.
• Load raw or finished products into haul trucks and customer trucks.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Assist with maintenance and minor repairs as needed.
• Maintain safe and clean work areas and follow plant procedures.
