Job summary

Premier Earthworks and Infrastructure is looking for an experienced heavy equipment operator in Greenwood Village, Colorado. The role requires at least 6 months of operating experience, strong safety awareness, and the ability to communicate effectively in English.

Operators will work under varying weather conditions and are responsible for pre and post equipment checks. The position offers competitive wages and employer-paid health benefits starting immediately after hire.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Skills

Job Description

Must have prior experience at least 6 months to 1 year of operating heavy equipment.

Able to drive, operate and maneuver heavy equipment.

Knowledge of the operating equipment used in the construction, maintenance, and repair of wet utilities, sewer, and treatment or water supply and distribution.

Understands all safety requirements of underground excavating and trenching.

Conveys information to supervisors, and co-workers effectively.

Actively aware of surroundings near the equipment to maintain safe operation and distances from potential hazards such as underground utility lines, other equipment, and other workers.

Performs pre and post equipment checks and reports equipment issues to supervisors.

General knowledge and understanding of excavating practices and locate requirements.

Qualifications

Must have prior experience at least 6 months to 1 year of operating heavy equipment.

Supervisory Duties

  • Job has no supervisor duties

Knowledge/Skills

  • Experience in safely running multiple pieces of equipment
  • At least a year in running equipment in inclement weather

Language

  • Must be able to communicate in English with co-workers and customers as needed.

Mathematical Skills

  • This job requires the ability to do and understand basic math problems.

Physical Demands

  • Operators are subject to continuous bouncing, shaking, and equipment vibrations throughout their shift.
  • Work functions require the physical ability and mobility to repeatedly push, pull, and climb to control cabin.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds intermittently.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Outside work exposed to various weather conditions (hot, rain, snow) and muddy ground.
