Job summary
MedStar Health is seeking an experienced heavy equipment operator to safely operate various construction vehicles. Responsibilities include daily equipment inspections, maintenance, and adherence to safety practices. Ideal candidates will possess relevant experience and certifications, ensuring a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a heavy equipment operator.
- State licensing may be required.
- NCCER certification and CDL license are plus.
Responsibilities
- Safe operation of heavy construction vehicles.
- Perform daily inspections and maintenance.
- Understand load charts and maintain clean work environment.

Job Responsibilities- Safe operation of a variety of heavy construction vehicles and equipment.
- Responsible for daily inspection of equipment and performing basic repair and maintenance as needed to ensure the safe working condition of all equipment.
- Read and understand various types of load charts.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
Qualifications/ Requirements- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a heavy equipment operator.
- Knowledge of operation and maintenance of a variety of heavy construction vehicles and equipment.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of routine and preventative maintenance of heavy construction vehicles and equipment.
- Knowledge of principles and procedures of documentation and record-keeping including operators' books.
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and standard safety practices.
- Knowledge of safe load securing practices/rigging experience is a plus.
- Understanding of hand signals.
- State licensing may be required depending upon the state.
- NCCER certification is a plus.
- CDL license is a plus.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
