Job summary

The City of Flagstaff is seeking a hands-on equipment operator to perform heavy equipment operation, dust control, snow removal, and routine maintenance at the landfill in Flagstaff, AZ. You will work closely with landfill staff to ensure safe, compliant operations and may be assigned weekend shifts after training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Arizona Class B CDL required, with tanker endorsement within six months of hire.
• One year of equipment experience with CDL is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates heavy equipment and hand tools per landfill policies.
• Provides day-to-day operational and labor support with safety in mind.
• Maintains and services landfill equipment and vehicles; performs simple field repairs.

Education

Arizona Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

One year of equipment experience with CDL
