Job summary

The City of Lubbock seeks a Heavy Equipment Operator to support street and right-of-way maintenance. You will operate backhoe, loader, dump trucks, and other heavy equipment, performing routine servicing and minor repairs to keep fleets in top condition.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Texas driver license and a CDL within one year of hire. Physical exams are required, and on-call duties may be involved.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy construction equipment and attachments to support street and right-of-way maintenance.
• Maintain and service trucks and equipment to ensure reliable operation.
• Perform routine field repairs and assist during inclement weather operations.
