Job summary

Jacintoport-International-LLC in Houston, TX is seeking a Forklift Operator to move various commodities using heavy equipment within a busy terminal. The role requires operating yard trucks and multiple forklifts (9K, 30K, 52K) and ensuring loads are transported safely and on time.

Qualifications

• One year experience driving heavy equipment (forklifts or similar).
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Able to train on additional heavy equipment within first year.
• Able to handle heavy cargo in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with physical/labor-intensive tasks.
• Able to obtain HAZMAT certification within 30 days.
• Able to obtain TWIC within 90 days.
• Basic reading/writing/speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Operate yard truck, 9K/30K/52K forklifts, Toploader/Empty Handler to move containers and cargo.
• Perform pre-shift inspections and report defects.
• Maintain communication with Foreman and coworkers to ensure loads are moved correctly.
• Assist in loading/unloading and staging cargo.
• Maintain clean and safe work area and comply with safety policies.
• Record shift activity and logs as requested.
