Job summary

Barriere Construction, a CRH Company, is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our North Shore Asphalt team. You will operate multiple pieces of asphalt equipment and perform routine inspections while following safety protocols.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of road/construction outdoor experience, read/write simple sentences, and be able to perform basic math. We offer competitive wages and benefits, with opportunities for growth in a leading infrastructure contractor.

Qualifications

• Must have minimum of 1 yr. experience in road or construction outdoors.
• Read, understand and write simple sentences; perform simple mathematical equations.
• Experience operating asphalt equipment such as paver or MTV is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of equipment including motor graders, excavators, front end loaders, rubber-tire backhoes, and dozers.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Perform other duties on the jobsite when not operating equipment.
• Follow all safety protocol.

We are currently searching for an experiencedHeavy Equipment Operatorto join our North Shore Asphalt team of talented employees!

Job Duties:

• Operating a variety of equipment including Motor graders, excavators, front end loaders, rubbertire backhoes, and dozers
• Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all equipment
• Performing other duties on the jobsite when not operating equipment
• Following all safety protocol

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures
• Individually lift and carry weights up to 50 lbs.
• Push and pull weights up to 70 lbs.
• Observe all safety protocol

Experience/Skills Required:

• Must have minimum of 1 yr. experience in the road or construction field, working outdoors in extreme weather
• Be able to read, understand and write simple sentences, and perform simple mathematical equations

Equipment Requirements:

• Must have a minimum of 1 yr. experience in operating and maintaining Asphalt paver or MTV

Must have experience operating at least three or more pieces of asphalt equipment, such as: paver screed, motor grader, front end loader, rubbetire backhoe, excavator, dozer.
