Job summary

Tulsa County is looking for a qualified equipment operator to work on highway and bridge maintenance projects. You will operate heavy construction equipment and trucks, conduct pre-operation checks, and perform routine maintenance as needed.

The role requires a valid Oklahoma Class B Commercial Driver’s License and at least a high school diploma with 3+ years of field experience in heavy equipment operation. You may also assist with labor duties and trainings on various machines.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to graduation from a standard four year high school.
• Over three years of heavy equipment operation in highway/bridge maintenance or construction.
• Ability to read safety rules and operate and maintain equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy construction equipment or trucks on an assigned basis and perform pre-checks.
• Perform preventative maintenance and report/repair needs to supervision.
• May train on other equipment and perform labor duties on the road/bridge crew.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
