Job summary

FCC Environmental Services in Florida seeks a Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate excavator, wheel loader, and material handler in concrete crushing, recycling, and material recovery operations. The role supports loading trucks with recycled aggregates and moving various materials through the facility.

The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of heavy equipment experience, a HS diploma or GED, and a strong safety mindset with routine maintenance duties.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of operating heavy equipment.
• Experience with concrete crushing, recycling, or material recovery a plus.
• Strong commitment to safety and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Loading customer dump trucks with recycled aggregate materials.
• Loading transfer trailers with C&D debris and single-stream recyclable materials.
• Loading ferrous scrap metal into dump trailers for transport.
• Sorting, stockpiling, and moving concrete, asphalt, scrap metal, C&D, and recyclable materials throughout the facility.
• Performing daily equipment inspections and routine preventive maintenance, such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.
• Direct customers to the proper location by material for offloading.
• Working safely around crushers, conveyors, truck traffic, and other heavy equipment while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
