Job description

We are actively seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join a fast-paced civil construction team working on a variety of excavation and grading projects throughout the Raleigh area. This is a full-time opportunity for someone who takes pride in quality work, values safety, and has experience operating heavy machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers and excavators to perform grading, trenching, backfilling, and material movement.
• Work with site plans and grading stakes to ensure accuracy in cuts and fills.
• Safely operate around underground and overhead utilities.
• Perform daily pre-trip inspections and basic equipment maintenance.
• Communicate with site supervisors and team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely.

Requirements:

• Experience operating heavy equipment on civil construction job sites.
• Understanding of grading techniques and familiarity with site plans.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and terrain.
• Strong attention to safety protocols and detail.
• Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
• A valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus.
• GPS or laser-guided equipment experience is a plus.

Schedule and Compensation:

• Full-time hours, Monday through Friday with occasional overtime or weekend work.
• Competitive pay based on experience and certifications.
