Job description

Position Summary:

Martin Marietta is seeking an Off Highway Haul Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal individual will be safety conscious, dependable, and motivated. This individual will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating haul trucks loaded with rock within the quarry. The Off-Highway haul truck driver will perform various maintenance duties in the quarry, safely and efficiently operate the pit and yard loaders, perform daily pre-shift inspections, and perform minor maintenance and repairs on the haul truck.

Hours: Monday-Friday: 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Location: Raleigh-Durham Quarry, Raleigh, NC

A typical day for a(n) Off Highway Haul Truck Driver may include:

1. Operating a haul truck within the company guidelines and safety standards
2. Participating in safety inspections, plant safety programs, and following company and MSHA safety rules and regulations
3. Aiding in loader production by breaking down surge piles and maintaining product piles as needed
4. Performing pre-shift safety inspections on equipment and reporting needed repairs to the supervisor
5. Performing preventative maintenance, servicing mobile equipment, and maintaining good housekeeping of equipment
6. Operating other equipment such as pit and yard loaders in a safe manner as needed
7. Aiding in the training of co-workers as needed
8. Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor

You may be a good fit if you:

1. Possess a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience to perform the responsibilities associated with this position
2. Have experience in the maintenance and operation of mobile equipment and/or equipment used in processing plants
3. Have six (6) months experience as a haul truck driver or other related experience (preferred)
