Job summary

J&J Earthworks is seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators for on-site development and utility projects. Operate a range of machines to perform grading, trenching, backfilling and earthmoving while following grade stakes and blueprints.

The role requires 3+ years of civil construction equipment experience, a valid CDL, OSHA training, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather. PaysOSHA safety standards and offers growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience operating heavy equipment in civil construction.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license (CDL)
  • Strong understanding of site grading and working to elevations
  • Able to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in all weather
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification
  • GPS machine control experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Operate excavators, bulldozers, graders, compactors, and skid steers safely and efficiently
  • Read and follow grade stakes, blueprints, and laser/GPS layout
  • Support trenching and installation of storm, sewer, and water utilities
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic preventive maintenance
  • Work closely with supervisors and laborers to meet production goals
  • Follow all safety protocols and company policies
