Job summary

Charah Solutions Inc is seeking a skilled heavy equipment operator in Albany, GA. You will operate diverse machinery to grade, excavate and move materials with focus on safety and efficiency.

Requirements include minimum three years of relevant experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work nights or weekends if needed; familiarity with GPS grading systems is a plus. Training provided and a strong safety culture is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years’ experience operating heavy equipment in construction or similar environments.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience in production-focused environments preferred.
• Experience using GPS grading systems preferred.
• Knowledge of ash management, structural fills and landfills preferred.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, their design, use, repair and maintenance preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and/or move materials (ash, dirt, rock) using heavy equipment.
• Drive and maneuver equipment with blades over areas to grade and level.
• Coordinate machine actions with crew signals and other activities.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and identify maintenance needs.
• Adjust controls to precise positions as required.
• Learn, follow, and promote safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
