Job summary

Aerotek seeks a Mid-Level Heavy Equipment Operator to join a civil construction team in Lebanon, IN. You will operate various mid-level machines, including dozers, excavators, and GPS-enabled equipment, on large earthmoving projects, ensuring safety, accuracy, and efficiency.

You will read blueprints, follow project specs, and coordinate with foremen on mass grading sites. This role requires travel to different project locations and adherence to safety protocols while delivering high-quality

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years operating mid-level heavy equipment.
• Experience on mass grading sites (200,000 to 20 million yards).
• Ability to read blueprints for grading and earthwork.
• Experience with GPS-enabled dozers for fine grading where required.
• Proficient in safety protocols per OSHA and site rules.
• Strong communication with foremen and crew.

Responsibilities

• Operate mid-level equipment (scraper, roller, loader, dozer, excavator, etc.) on large commercial projects.
• Perform large-scale earthmoving and grading while maintaining safety and productivity.
• Read and interpret blueprints to meet specs and design requirements.
• Use GPS systems to maintain precise grades and alignments.
• Coordinate with supervisors and crew to manage traffic and hazards.
• Inspect equipment and report issues; assist basic maintenance.
