Job summary

Akima Global Logistics (AGL) is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to support Army equipment turn-in operations at a contractor-managed site. You will move, load, and transport heavy vehicles and materiel while complying with Army safety regulations and ISO 9001:2015 requirements.

The role requires operating forklifts, loaders, cranes, and MT vehicles with attention to safety, documentation, and timely processing of high-volume turn-ins.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, or relevant work experience.
• 2–4 years of heavy equipment operation experience (military or contractor environment preferred).
• Familiarity with Army safety and supply regulations (e.g., AR 710-2/DA PAMs).
• Ability to read and follow Army TMs and work orders; proficiency with MS Office products.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts (4K–10K, RTCH, ATLAS, Kalmar), loaders, cranes, and rough-terrain vehicles.
• Move vehicles, containers, and materiel between staging, inspection, and storage areas.
• Load/unload trucks and containers in accordance with Army and DOT standards.
• Perform PMCS on equipment and report deficiencies for repairs.
