United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, is hiring an Installation Technician I – Matting Solutions to operate heavy equipment safely in all weather conditions. You’ll support right‑of‑way access projects from pipelines to civil works, ensuring quality, safety and efficiency on site.

Responsibilities include daily safety and maintenance checks, routine upkeep, and maintaining equipment logs.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read and write fluently (English).
• Valid driver’s license.
• 0-1 year of experience operating multiple types of heavy equipment on large construction projects.
• Ability to operate equipment independently, with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of safety hazards and inspection principles.
• Skill in reading and interpreting Access and Construction Plans.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Travel out of town during the week or weekends; extensive overtime.

Aufgaben

• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks, pre- and post-equipment inspections with documentation.
• Participate in routine maintenance and safely store heavy equipment.
• Communicate effectively with site personnel and practice safety.
• Operate all heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Maintain daily logs of equipment usage and maintenance.
• Understand ground signals and maintain eye contact with ground personnel.
• Other duties as assigned.
