Job summary

Edge Rubber, an Ecore company, is hiring for a 1st shift Heavy Equipment & Processing Operator in Chambersburg, PA. The role involves operating excavators, loaders, skid steers, forklifts, and processing recyclable materials, with emphasis on safety and equipment maintenance.

Pay is $20.00-$24.00 per hour, based on experience. Candidates should be able to work outdoors in varying weather and lift up to 50 pounds, with opportunities for growth in a sustainable recycling environment.

Qualifications

• Heavy equipment and excavator operating experience.
• Experience operating Excavators, Skid Steers, Loaders and Forklifts.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and safely in an industrial environment.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically active work.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, loaders, skid steers, forklifts, material handlers and hydraulic shear equipment.
• Process scrap tires, rubber materials and recyclable commodities.
• Inspect incoming materials and identify prohibited or hazardous items.
• Monitor equipment performance and product quality.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and operational checks.
• Complete basic preventative maintenance, lubrication and minor repairs.
• Assist with loading and unloading trailers.
• Maintain production records and equipment logs.
• Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements.
