Job summary

Tycol Excavating and Property Services in Indiana is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to support excavation, grading, and site development projects. Operate excavators, skid steers, loaders, and other machinery with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The role requires at least 3 years of equipment experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather. CDL is a plus but not required; strong teamwork and dependability are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment or proven equipment background.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to load, secure, and tow equipment; CDL a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, skid steers, loaders, and other machinery safely and efficiently
• Perform excavation, grading, trenching, and site preparation work
• Load, unload, and transport equipment to and from job sites
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance
• Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
• Work closely with crew members to complete projects on time and to spec
• Maintain a clean and organized job site
