Job summary

Austin Bridge & Road is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to operate a stationary or traveling crane to lift, move, and position loads. You will follow signals from a rigger and ensure loads are securely attached before lifting.

The role requires inspecting equipment daily, performing basic maintenance, and adhering to safety protocols to avoid hazards. Experience of 1–3 years in construction equipment is preferred, with drug screen and physical tests.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of operating construction equipment.
• Must pass drug screen and physical.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• The Heavy Equipment Operator will operate a stationary or traveling crane to lift, move, position, and reposition loads.
• Depresses buttons, lifts levers, and ensures load is safely attached to crane before lifting.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues and perform maintenance as needed.
• Follow signals from rigger and maintain safe operations around hazards.
