Job summary

Austin Bridge & Road in Texas is seeking a Dirt Heavy Equipment Operator to work on our heavy construction sites. You will operate stationary or traveling cranes to lift, move, and position loads while following safety procedures.

Requirements include 1–3 years of equipment experience, ability to pass a drug screen and physical, and legal work authorization in the United States. This on-site role offers steady work with opportunities across major bridge and highway projects.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of operating equipment in a construction setting.
• Must pass drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

• Operate stationary or traveling crane to lift, move, and position loads.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues daily and identify malfunctions.
• Clean, maintain, and lubricate equipment.
• Work to avoid hazards and obstructions such as lines and other workers.
• Follow signals from the rigger when operating equipment.
• Start engines and control levers to operate machines.
• Attend to other duties as assigned.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States; employer cannot sponsor visa.
