Job summary

Austin Bridge & Road in Texas is seeking a Dirt Heavy Equipment Operator to operate stationary or traveling cranes, lift and position loads, and ensure safe attachment before lifts. Duties include daily safety inspections, routine maintenance, and hazard avoidance in industrial work areas.

Responsibilities also cover starting and controlling machines, following rigger signals, and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education minimum: none.
• Experience 1-3 years operating equipment in a construction setting.
• Must pass drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

• Operate Excavator, Dozer, Loader, Compactor, Blade operators.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues daily and determine if any parts are malfunctioning.
• C lean s, maintains, and lubricates equipment.
• Take actions to avoid potential hazards and obstructions such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, and falling objects.
• Operate equipment according to signals from rigger.
• Start engines, move throttles, switches, and levers, and depress pedals to operate machines.
• Other duties as assigned.
