Ready Field Solutions in Bethesda, OH is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to support erosion control, land reclamation, grading, and site-preparation projects. You should have strong excavator and skid-steer experience and be comfortable working on steep slopes and active construction sites.

You will help with erosion-control installation and general groundwork, travel to project sites as needed, and lodging and meals may be provided for qualifying assignments.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years operating excavators and skid-steers.
• Experience with grading, earthmoving, reclamation, or site prep.
• Experience on steep slopes or uneven terrain.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Willingness to perform groundwork and travel.

Pay: $23-28/hour, based on experience

Ready Field Solutions is hiring an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to support erosion control, land reclamation, grading, and site-preparation projects.

This position is ideal for someone with strong excavator and skid-steer experience who is comfortable working on steep slopes, uneven terrain, and active construction or oil and gas sites.

Operators also assist with erosion-control installation and general groundwork when equipment is not in use. Some travel to project sites is required, with lodging and meal support provided for qualifying assignments.

What You'll Do

• Safely operate excavators, skid steers, and related heavy equipment

Qualifications

• At least 2–3 years of excavator and skid-steer operating experience
• Experience with grading, excavation, earthmoving, reclamation, or site preparation
• Experience operating equipment on steep slopes or uneven terrain
• Willingness to assist with physical groundwork in addition to operating equipment
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Dependable attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
• Ability to work safely and effectively as part of a field crew
• Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions
• Availability for early starts, overtime, 12-hour shifts, and occasional weekend work
• Ability to travel to project sites as needed

Preferred Experience

• Oil and gas, pipeline, environmental, or erosion-control work
• Direct experience working on 2:1 slopes
• Silt fence, super silt fence, or filter-sock installation
• Land reclamation or right-of-way work
• CDL A or CDL B
• Crew-lead experience

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on field position. Employees must be able to:

• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach throughout the workday
• Safely enter and exit heavy equipment
• Work on steep slopes and uneven terrain
• Use hand tools and erosion-control installation equipment
• Lift and carry tools and materials weighing up to 100 pounds, with heavier lifting team-assisted or reasonably accommodated
• Work around noise, dust, vibration, traffic, and active construction or oil and gas sites
• Wear required PPE, including a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel-toed boots
