Job summary

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. is seeking skilled laborers to perform self-perform earthwork and related construction tasks in Atlanta, GA. You will read blueprints, identify soil types, and execute trenching, grading, and equipment operations under general supervision.

Responsibilities include hazard recognition, daily THA log completion, and maintaining safety and organization on site. Night shifts may be required as project needs evolve.

Qualifications

• Experience with self-perform earthwork in commercial, civil, or marine environments.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
• Proven commitment to safety and working organized.
• Willing and able to work night shifts when needed.
• Reliable transportation to/from job site.

Responsibilities

• Complete THA logs daily and recognize hazards and danger zones.
• Plan and execute earthwork with minimum supervision.
• Read and interpret blueprints and identify soil types.
• Perform trenching, grading, and material handling tasks safely.
• Operate and maintain construction equipment (excavators, rollers, dozers).
• Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs.
