Job summary

Primoris Renewable Energy is seeking an on-site Heavy Equipment Operator in the Hollis Creek area to perform civil and mechanical tasks. You will operate a range of machinery, inspect before and after use, and contribute to earthwork, pipelines, and infrastructure projects.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, ability to read blueprints, and a commitment to safety and teamwork across varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating heavy civil and mechanical equipment.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
• Knowledge of safety procedures for heavy equipment operation and construction sites.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, backhoes, trenchers, and other construction and mechanical equipment.
• Perform pre-operation and post-operation inspections of equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
• Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment as needed, reporting larger issues to supervisors.
• Dig, backfill, and grade trenches, foundations, and other earthwork according to project specifications and blueprints.
• Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of pipelines, utility systems, and other civil infrastructure.
• Load and unload materials, supplies, and equipment from trucks and trailers.
• Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and environmental guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and other personnel on site.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and reports of work performed and equipment used.
• Perform general labor duties as required when not operating equipment.
