Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting in Londonderry, NH is seeking an Equipment Operator to support heavy construction projects. You will operate backhoe, skid steer, excavators, or loaders and perform required maintenance while following safety policies.

Qualified candidates will have equipment operating experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a pre-employment physical and background checks. Travel and overtime may be required; hourly rate is $20–$22 plus travel stipend.

Qualifications

• Equipment operating experience is helpful.
• Valid Driver’s License with own transportation.
• Experience as construction laborer.
• Must hold a high level of common sense relative to equipment and machinery operation.
• Mechanical aptitude based on past experience around equipment, motors, hydraulic, electrical systems.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Must successfully complete a background screening for ATF.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy construction equipment as instructed by Superintendents, Blasting Supervisor or Drill Operators.
• Maintain safety and work well in varying weather environments.
• Travel out of town and work overtime may be required.
• Perform daily maintenance for safe, efficient operation of equipment.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Learn drill patterns and execute patterns as directed by Foreman.
• Record drill reports, hole sheets, and timecards accurately.
