Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years of experience in heavy equipment operation.
• Rigging and flagging skills.
• Must pass Pala-Interstate Certification Exam.
• 20/30 and 20/50 Snellen eye sight with color vision/depth perception.
• Undergo OSHA mandated physical exam.
• Must hold NCCER or NCCCO certification.

Responsibilities

• Drive equipment to job site and position loads safely following signals and instructions.
• Read, study and interpret job specs, plans and blueprints; perform required geometry-based calculations.
• Operate crane/backhoe/bulldozer/cherry picker or other listed equipment to move loads.
• Start engines and manipulate controls to raise/lower boom and load lines as needed.
• Communicate with flaggers and riggers to coordinate placement of loads and materials.
• Identify hazardous conditions such as unstable ground or high winds and mitigate.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspect equipment safety features before use.
