Job summary

Cemex US is seeking a Utility Operator to operate multiple pieces of equipment at the Fort Myers location, interfacing with the operations team. The role requires performing tasks accurately and timely to support overall plant operations.

Responsibilities include operating loaders and various heavy equipment, loading trucks, maintaining cleanliness, performing light maintenance, and ensuring safety compliance. High school education preferred; bilingual is a plus.

Qualifications

• Be able to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Operate a loader, excavator, haul truck, grader, bulldozer, skid steer, and water truck.
• Load tractor trailers and dump trucks.
• Keep the facility clean and organized.
• Build and strip forms.
• Mix and pour concrete and castables.
• Perform or assist with minor maintenance and repairs.
• Assist with clean‑up before and after maintenance work.
• Communicate with and cooperate with truckers and customers.
• Record downtime and actions taken.
• Fill up fuel and clean the loader.
• Adhere to all CEMEX and OSHA/MSHA rules, and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds.
• Meet or exceed company safety standards.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.
