Your duties include trenching, utility installations, site preparation, and coordinating with crews to ensure timely, accurate work. This position requires vigilance and reliability on a fast-growing team based in Columbus, OH.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ability to read and interpret site plans and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate excavators, loaders, backhoes, dozers, and other heavy equipment
• Excavate trenches for utility installation with precision
• Assist crews in storm, water, and sewer pipe installation
• Always follow site safety protocols
• Maneuver heavy motorized equipment to ensure accurate removal and placement of materials
• Prepare construction sites for building, demolition, or excavation
• Load and unload rocks, debris, and other materials from heavy equipment
• Always observe stipulated safety codes
• Communicate with coworkers to elucidate project specifications as needed
• Report injuries and other accidents to the Foreman and Job Superintendent
• Examine schedules for the day and establish the best way to complete tasks
• Advise the Foreman of upgrades, repairs, and replacements
• Inspect and fuel vehicles prior to starting shift
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs
• Perform other related duties as assigned
