Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• General knowledge of the heavy highway construction industry.
• General knowledge of heavy equipment operation.
• Working knowledge of safety precautions common to heavy equipment operations.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of heavy equipment and trucks on road construction projects.
• Load and haul equipment and materials; assist line crew.
• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance; follow safety rules.
• Assist in setting up and maintaining traffic control devices.
• Adhere to company safety requirements and wear PPE.
