Job summary

The City of Medford seeks a PW5.5 MEO II & Laborer in the DPW - Cemetery to perform grave digging, maintenance, and operate heavy equipment under union wage rates. This is a full-time 40-hour week, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM.

Requirements include High School diploma or GED, at least one year driving experience, and a valid Class B CDL. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions is required. Equal opportunity employer.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks and heavy equipment such as dump trucks and sweepers.
• Dig graves, set lowering devices, and maintain gravesites.
• Maintain streets, sidewalks, curbs, and drainage projects.
• Perform street and drain work, backfill, and related tasks.
• Work outdoors in various weather, with heavy lifting required.
