Job summary

North Slope Borough seeks a skilled individual to operate heavy equipment and assist with fuel deliveries and truck operations. The role requires traveling to North Slope communities and working a two‑week on, two‑week off cycle.

Applicants should have two years of heavy equipment experience, an Alaska CDL with X/N endorsements, and be able to obtain Hazwoper certification within probation. Immunization documentation is required before employment.

Qualifications

• Must have two years of experience operating heavy equipment.
• Valid Alaska CDL with X and N endorsements.
• Ability to obtain 40‑Hour Hazwoper certification within probationary period.
• Documentation of Hepatitis A/B vaccinations prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment and other machinery in accordance with safety regulations.
• Maintain roads, runway areas, and landfill surroundings.
• Inspect vehicles and equipment before operations; complete shift checklists.
• Travel to North Slope communities as required by assignments.
