Job Overview

Vulcan Materials Company, the nation’s largest producer of construction aggregates, is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for its asphalt plant. This role involves operating heavy machinery, ensuring safety, and maintaining equipment to support our construction materials production.

Responsibilities

1. Promote safety by actively prioritizing safety standards for yourself and others, in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
2. Operate off-highway equipment safely to transport raw materials and finished products within the facility.
3. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, complete reports accurately, and assist with minor maintenance tasks.
4. Monitor plant operations and report any maintenance or adjustments needed to ensure safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy construction equipment (preferred).
• Knowledge of operating and servicing heavy equipment (preferred).
• Flexibility to work overtime, extended hours, and in all weather conditions.
