Job Description - Heavy Equipment Operator - Asphalt Plant (2500012F)

What You’ll Do:

1. Promote Safety: Prioritize safety for yourself and others at all times, in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
2. Operate Heavy Equipment: Safely operate off-highway equipment to transport raw materials and finished products throughout the facility efficiently.
3. Inspect Equipment: Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, accurately complete daily reports and documentation.
4. Maintain Equipment: Check vehicle fluid levels, add correct fluids as necessary, and assist in minor maintenance tasks.
5. Monitor Processes and Surroundings: Oversee plant operations, report any maintenance or adjustments needed to ensure safety.
6. Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills You’ll Need:

• Experience: Previous experience operating heavy construction equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of Best Practices: Understanding of principles and practices of operating and servicing heavy equipment preferred.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime, extended hours, and in all weather conditions; tolerate loud noises.
