Job summary

Akima Global Logistics (AGL) is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for the U.S. Army Equipment Turn-In Site. You will operate forklifts, loaders, cranes, and RTCHs, supporting turn‑in operations and movements between staging, inspection, and storage areas.

Responsibilities include PMCS, documenting usage, and ensuring safety and compliance with Army standards. A valid license, Army OF 346 license, and ability to obtain CAC may be required; travel up to 25% may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and Army OF 346 license required (or ability to obtain).
• Forklift/MHE certification preferred.
• 2–4 years of heavy equipment operation experience (military or contractor).
• Familiarity with Army equipment turn-in or SSA operations desirable.
• Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, loaders, cranes, and RTVs per safety rules.
• Move equipment between staging, inspection, and storage areas.
• Load/unload trucks and containers with equipment; ensure securement.
• Support mass turn‑in events and timely processing of equipment.
• Perform PMCS, report deficiencies, and coordinate repairs.
• Maintain operator logs and usage records; ensure audit readiness.
• Work with supply and drivers to ensure smooth movement of gear.
