Page Mechanical Group, Inc. is currently seeking an EXPERIENCED Heavy Equipment Operator for the Vacherie, LA area. You will operate excavators, skid steer, Marsh buggy, and bulldozer, following safety policies and instructions from supervision.

The role is temp to hire with pay based on experience. Applicants must have a valid license, NCCCO Crane Certification, and be able to pass physical, drug screen, and background check; PPE provided.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid license and NCCCO Crane Certification.
• HS diploma or GED required.
• Pass physical, drug screen, and background check.
• Provide own PPE: hard hat, steel toe boots, safety glasses, gloves.
• Experience operating excavators, skid steers, Marsh buggies, and bulldozers (1 year minimum preferred).

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment safely and in accordance with company policies.
• Maneuver equipment to move materials and remove debris.
• Load/offload rocks and debris from equipment.
• Inspect machinery before/after use and report issues.
• Perform daily checks and minor repairs as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and assist with waste disposal.
• Follow supervisor instructions and meet productivity/quality goals.

We are currently taking applications/resumes for an EXPERIENCED Heavy Equipment Operator for the Vacherie, LA & surrounding areas. Duties/Responsibilities may/may not be limited to the following:

• Job Scope:
  • Heavy equipment operators control specialized machines used in construction, maintenance and operations. They may run excavators, loaders, cranes, pile drivers, graders and industrial trucks. While working with others, they often use hand signals or radios to coordinate movements.

• Position Requirements:
  • MUST HAVE VALID LICENSE
  • High school diploma or GED equivalentis required.
  • MUST be able to pass physical
  • MUST be able to pass DISA drug screen
  • MUST be able to pass background check
  • MUST be able to provide own PPE (Hard hat, steel toe boots, safety glasses, & gloves)
  • MUST have NCCCO Crane Certification
• Required Skills:
  • MUST have experience with operating an EXCAVATOR, SKID STEER, Marsh Buggie & BULLDOZER (1 year minimumpreferred)
  • Knowledge of reading blueprints can be helpful
  • Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Good verbal and written communication
  • Abilityto use good judgement and act independently
• Job Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Operateheavy equipmentin compliance with the company's operating safety policies and procedures.
  • Maneuvering motorized heavy equipment to ensure the accurate removal and placement of materials.
  • Loading and offloading rocks, debris, and other materials from heavy equipment.
  • Ensure company equipment, material, and the work site are maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner. Collect and dispose of scrap, excess materials, and refuse
  • Inspection of the machinery before and after to ensure that it is in good working condition. If upon inspection, some defects or issues are found, the operator will report them so that they can be addressed appropriately.
    • Perform daily checks on equipment
    • Rendering regular repairs and maintenance as needed.
    • Reporting more serious defects for repair by an authorized service provider.
  • Mange housekeeping activities when requested.
    • Maintain the work area clean, safe and organized.
    • Assist in waste disposal and recycling activities
    • Cleanup work area and equipment after work is completed.
  • Execute daily work instructions received from Supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Work effectively to meet or exceed productivity goals while maintaining high quality standards.
    • Practicesafety procedures in accordance with training and guidelines when working.
    • Comply with company policies and legal guidelines, helping to maintain a safe and orderly work environment
    • Meet quality and performance requirements as outlined by quality assurance and production standards
    • Report safety hazards, quality, and production issues to management immediately
• Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 LBS
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods
  • Handle and manipulate objects on a repetitive basis
  • Ability to see well and distinguish between back up alarms, voices and other normal sounds consistent with construction job sites.
  • Excellent physical strength & stamina
  • Ability to work outdoors in harsh weather conditions
    • Ability to work in varying hot and cold environments
    • Ability to work in an environmentwith exposures to dust, dirt and various other debris, metal and paint fumes, gases
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to high, precarious places and outside weather conditions
    • The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock

    • 10-12 Hour Days (with weather permitting)
