Job summary

Turner-Mining-Group-LLC seeks a Heavy Equipment Operator to support mining, earthworks, and construction sites. You will operate excavators, dozers, loaders, and graders, ensuring safety, accuracy, and timely completion of cycles under the Site Superintendent.

You will read grade stakes, GPS displays, and drawings, maintaining high equipment availability and documenting daily shifts for client reporting. Rotation shifts are required and safety gear is provided.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to operate excavators, dozers, loaders, and graders on mining or heavy-civil projects.
• Track record of zero preventable incidents over the last 24 months and fluency with daily pre-start checklists.
• Comfort reading grade stakes, GPS screens, and basic construction drawings.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Complete earthmoving, grading, and extraction cycles faster than site baseline with zero lost-time incidents.
• Maintain high equipment availability by daily inspections and prompt defect reporting.
• Operate CAT, Komatsu and similar machines in mining or heavy civil sites.
• Read drawings and stakes to ensure grading and cut/fill tolerances are met.
• Log shifts in the digital work-order system for real-time reporting.

Heavy Equipment Operator

As Heavy Equipment Operator you sit in the cab that makes every cubic meter count—safe, precise, on schedule—so our mining, earthworks, and construction crews can keep delivering for clients who trust us with their most demanding sites.

Performance Objectives

• Complete assigned earthmoving, grading, and extraction cycles 10–15 % faster than site baseline while recording zero lost-time incidents each month.
• Maintain 95 %+ equipment availability by performing daily inspections, reporting defects immediately, and executing first-line servicing on CAT, Komatsu, and similar machines.
• Achieve design grades and cut/fill tolerances within 2 cm on 90 % of surveyed sections, reducing rework and fuel waste.
• Support urbanization and hydraulic projects by coordinating with surveyors and civil teams to place material exactly where drawings specify, first time.
• Log every shift in the digital work-order system so superintendents have real-time production data for client reporting.

Environment & Resources

You report to the Site Superintendent and work alongside a tight crew of operators, mechanics, and surveyors on active mining, road, and construction sites. You have access to well-maintained heavy plant, GPS machine-control systems, and a dedicated maintenance team. Safety gear, fuel, and consumables are supplied; you own the cab and the outcome.
