Operate various types of power construction equipment to excavate, lift, move, and grade earth, fill materials, and perform related tasks safely and efficiently, ensuring high-quality standards. Candidates must be local to Sumter, SC, as no Per Diem is provided.

Responsibilities

Light Equipment Operators: Operate equipment such as:

• Backhoe
• Bobcat
• Compactor (towed)
• Elevator
• Farm tractor
• Forklift (various types)
• Hand truck
• Scissor Lift
• Power Boom
• Water Wagon

Medium Equipment Operators: Operate equipment such as:

• Bulldozer (less than D-6)
• Self-propelled Compactor
• Rough terrain Forklift
• Front-End loader (less than 1 yard)
• Dump truck (over 2 tons)

Heavy Equipment Operators: Operate equipment such as:

• Batch plant
• Track Backhoe
• D-6 and above Bulldozer
• Dragline
• Motor Grader
• Scraper

All Equipment Operators: Perform duties including moving levers, inspecting equipment, performing minor repairs, maintaining communication, and ensuring safety before operation.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old
• Minimum 3 years of experience
• Possibly CDL Class A or B
• May require physical exam and certification
• Valid driver’s license for truck operators
• Ability to read, write, communicate clearly, and perform basic math
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various environments
