CITADEL is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to support the BEAD Project in a temporary position. The role lasts at least one year or until BEAD completion, operating heavy machinery on construction and excavation sites.
The successful candidate will operate excavators, loaders, backhoes, dump trucks and trenchers, perform earthmoving tasks, and coordinate material transport under the Outside Plant Supervisor. A CDL may be required for some assignments.
This is a temporary position to support the Broadband Equity Access and Deployment(BEAD Project). This position is a minimum of one year or until the completion of the BEADProject. The Heavy Equipment Operator, under the direction of the Outside PlantSupervisor, will safely and efficiently operate various types of heavy machinery onconstruction and excavation sites. The ideal candidate will have experience handling equipment such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, dump trucks and trenchers tocomplete tasks like earthmoving, trenching, and material transportation.

The physical requirements of this position involve medium work: exerting up to 50 poundsof force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 poundsof force constantly to move objects.The worker is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
The worker is subject to outside environmental conditions: No effective protection fromweather. The worker is subject to both environmental conditions: Activities occur inside and outside. The worker is subject to extreme heat: Temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions such as wind and humidity. The worker is subject to vibration: Exposure to oscillating movements of the extremities or whole body. The worker is subject to oils: There is air and/or skin exposure to oils and other cutting fluids. The worker frequently is in close quarters, crawl spaces, shafts, manholes, small, enclosed rooms, small sewage and water line pipes, and other areas which could cause claustrophobia
