EGC Construction, a subsidiary of Messer Construction Co., is currently seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join the team .

What You Will Do:

• Operate heavy equipment, including excavators, backhoes, bob cats, and all terrain forklifts to complete construction and earth-moving tasks.
• Follow site plans, blueprints, and grade specifications for excavation and grading work.
• Experience with other areas of site work and civil construction including concrete and underground utility work.
• Adhere to all company and industry safety policies, including OSHA regulations.
• OSHA 10 required to start; successful completion of OSHA 30 within 90 days .
• Cleaning, lubricating and performing regular safety checks on equipment . Inspect, maintain and perform basic repairs on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Ensuring sites are kept clean and safe.
• Train new crew members in the safe operation of equipment.

What You Will Bring:

• Proven experience as a heavy equipment operator in construction, excavation, or related fields.
• Valid equipment operator certifications (such as NCCER OSHA or state-specific licensing) preferred.
• Knowledge of safe operation and maintenance of heavy machinery.
• Ability to attend meeting and refresher courses to ensure responsible equipment operation.

Abilities:

Possess all auditory, speaking and communicating capabilities.

Physical requirements: standing, walking, bending, twisting, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50lbs., seeing and reading.
