Responsible for operating a variety of heavy trucks, tractors, and construction equipment on a regularly assigned basis; checks for improper functioning of the equipment during operations; primarily operates a street sweeper, bulldozer, front-end loaders, asphalt paving machine, asphalt paving rollers, twin axle trucks and equipment, backhoe, tractor, forklifts, skid steer loader, and motor patrol.
Minimum requirement is a high school diploma or GED equivalency. Requires four (4) years of related experience and a valid state Commercial Driver's License (CDL). A full Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification or National Institute for Automotive Service certification is preferred.
