Job summary

Martin Marietta in Eudora, KS is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to safely move material within our plant and quarry.

This full-time role runs 6am-6pm, Monday through Friday, with pay of $23-$26 per hour. You will operate dozer and excavator, participate in safety programs, and support team operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• 1+ years of related experience.
• Valid US driver’s license.
• Experience operating dozer and excavator.

Responsibilities

• Participate in safety programs and training.
• Inspect equipment for signs of wear.
• Perform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipment.

JOB SUMMARY

Martin Marietta is currently looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator at our Eudora Quarry in Eudora, KS. This position is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment to move material within the plant.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Participate in safety programs and training, promoting Martin Marietta’s Guardian Angel culture
• Inspect equipment for signs of wear
• Perform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipment
• Work in a team environment
• Clean work areas
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Proper wear of personal protective equipment
• Notify supervisors of repairs needed
• Ensure materials are properly loaded according to safety requirements
• Assist in plant maintenance and repairs

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education and Experience

Skills

• Effective verbal communication
• Knowledge of machines and tools including their design, use and maintenance

Physical Abilities

• Ability to work in an outdoor environment year-round
• General physical activities include climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, reach with hands and arms, and handling material
