Martin Marietta is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for Boone Quarry West in Columbia, MO. The role requires safely operating heavy equipment to move material within the plant and load trucks, with a focus on teamwork and safety.

Work hours are 6am–5pm, Monday through Friday, with eligibility for 55–60 hour weeks. Pay ranges from $23 to $26 per hour depending on experience, and the candidate must have a high school diploma or GED and a valid US driver’s license.

Under the immediate direction of the Lead person or Supervisor, the Equipment Operator is responsible for operating mobile equipment while moving raw materials from train to stockpile and loading finished products. Additional responsibilities include maintaining roadways and loading areas for designated business unit.

Pay: $23- $26 an hour depending on experience

Hours: 6am - 5pm Monday - Friday. Open to working 55-60 hour work weeks

Martin Marietta is currently looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator at our Boone Quarry West in Columbia, MO. This position is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment to move material within the plant.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Participate in safety programs and training, promoting Martin Marietta’s Guardian Angel culture
• Inspect equipment for signs of wear
• Perform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipment
• Work in a team environment
• Clean work areas
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Proper wear of personal protective equipment
• Notify supervisors of repairs needed
• Ensure materials are properly loaded according to safety requirements
• Assist in plant maintenance and repairs
• Perform duties with minimum supervision
  
  

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent
• 1+ years of related experience
• Valid US driver’s license

Physical Abilities

• Ability to work in an outdoor environment year-round
